CountdownSailing Information
We’re sailing aboard the Carnival Panorama out of Long Beach. Visit Carnival’s website to find out more about this awesome ship. She made her debut in 2019, and was officially named in 2021 (thanks, pandemic). Carnival Panorama features the following included things to do:
- an interactive ropes course, with a zip line
- a sky ride (think bicycle suspended from a track high above the ocean)
- a massive water park
- mini golf
- adult-only area
- live theatre shows
- and plenty of food options
Pricing for the sailing starts at:
- Interior – $799 per person
- Ocean View – $949 per person
- Balcony – $1,149 per person
Gratuities and taxes/port fees not included in the above.
The Plan
Flying In
There are two airports that we have identified which are convenient to the cruise port: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and Long Beach Airport (LGB). We will fly in the day prior to the cruise (Friday, June 30) and stay in a hotel to ensure that we are safely in the cruise port prior to sailing away. If you choose to fly in on the day of the cruise, we highly recommend that you pick a flight that lands before 10am and there should be backup flight options in the event of a delay/cancellation. We want to make sure you’re able to be there with us!
The Cruise
We want everyone who joins to have just as much fun on this cruise as we do! While we’ll plan for a couple of fun group events, we don’t plan to have something happening every day or every port for the sailabration. For dinner, we will set it up so that our group can sit at a couple of tables in the main dining room for dinner at the late seating (8:15pm), however if you would prefer a private table or enjoy the up-charge restaurants or other dining options, you are welcome to do so.
We will do our best to share what shore excursions we’ll be participating in and have that information available for you, if you’re interested in joining us.
4th of July Celebration
On July 4th, Carnival will celebrate the red, white and blue! They are throwing a party in honor of Independence Day.
- 4th of July Bash – Evening Lido Deck Party
- Independence Day Fun outdoor activities include ice cream eating contests, bean bag challenges and pool games
- Line dancing class (which I know some of my friends will certainly excel in)
- Independence Day Bingo, Trivia, and Slot Tournament
- American-themed Dive In Movies
The Details
The booking process is now available and ready. It is easiest if you contact our booking agent at Carnival to secure your space. If you already have a PVP, you may call them and provide them with the special rate code at the beginning of this post. There will be a deposit requirement to sail, and final payment for the cruise is due by April 2, 2023.
Name Changes
Name changes or additions are allowed at Carnival Cruise Lines discretion. Name changes are subject to cancellation
charges and any rate increases. There is a service fee for any correction involving names, and for any changes to
departure cities on Fly-Aweigh guests, and/or for any changes made on pre or post cruise packages within 60 days of
sailing. For such late changes, supplement charges may also apply.
Guest Information
Carnival requires the passenger full legal name, gender, date of birth and guest contact phone numbers with a per person deposit.
Cabin Sizes
Guest cabins on the Carnival Panorama can accommodate 1 guest all the way up to 4 guests. Unlike a hotel, the price of the sailing is charged per person. The rate will drop slightly per person if your room has more than 2 people, however if you choose to book a solo cabin (whether it is a studio-style stateroom, or a standard size room for just yourself), you will be subject to 1.5 times the cruise rate. This is referred to as the “Single Supplement” in the cruise industry.
Deposit Requirements
If you are interested in participating, but not quite ready to pick your room, you can pay a $50 deposit and hold your space. Once you have chosen a room, the $50 will be applied towards the cabin deposit amount (which may vary based on promotional offers).
Room Location
Cabins are available in any location on the ship that isn’t already booked. We are booked in room #10230 (Interior, Deck 10, forward, on the Port side of the ship). Please refer to this Deck Plan to review the general location of the staterooms. Please feel free to reach out to me via text (if you already have my number) or email if you have any questions about the location you’re considering for your room before completing the booking process.
Final Preparations
As we get closer to the sailing date, I will update this site and provide additional information via email. I will share flight information, the hotel we’ll be staying at, what excursions we have booked, and a handy This Cruise Life packing guide. Once you book your stateroom on this sailing, I will receive notification of your booking, including who is sailing and your room location information. This will ensure that I can continue to communicate with you as I learn new information about this cruise.
