Having a birthday around Independence Day has always been a treat. Usually there’s at least a few fireworks shows blasting the night away on July 3rd, school is out for the summer, employers will often give the 3rd off. To celebrate my 40th birthday in a big way, I dreamt up the idea of not just making reservations at one of my favorite Phoenix restaurants, but instead wanted to make reservations at one of my favorite Carnival Cruise Lines restaurants, JiJi Asian Kitchen, and invite my closest friends to join in on the fun!
Given our proximity to the west coast, I chose California as my departure port. Next, I hunted for the best itinerary that would give my friends something to do. I sent out the invitations far and wide to friends on Facebook, Instagram, in-person, or any other way I could (carrier pigeon anyone?) and started to spread the news about the details of this epic celebration. Excitement started to build as I had several friends reach out to inquire about this party and I decided to build out a page on our website dedicated to the details of the cruise.
Details for the cruise have been coming together as the date gets closer! Novelty items for those friends who are confirmed were ordered (shhhh, it’s a secret) and several emails, texts, and videos were sent to them as they prepare to embark on their first cruise ever! Upon Mark’s return from his Transatlantic crossing on the Carnival Venezia, we decided that we wanted to host another YouTube LIVE Event to share our experiences with our social media channels. This time, we’ll shift the focus away from the Venezia and put the spotlight on the Carnival Panorama.
Due to propulsion issues that this class of ship has been experiencing, we opted for a mid-afternoon event time. Our boarding time for the ship is 11:00-11:30am, pending the departure previous sailing guests from the ship. We’ll find the perfect spot to LIVE stream and set up camp! We’re excited to be joined by our followers/subscribers/readers to be able to share the details of our fun 7-night Mexican Riviera cruise.
