Ketchikan Alaska: Jellyfish Donuts Review

Ketchikan, Alaska was one of the stops on our 7-day cruise onboard the beautiful Carnival Splendor in July of 2022. While there, we decided to give Jellyfish Donuts (and several other spots) a try after reading some Yelp reviews. The little shop was situated right across from where our ship docked (Pier 4) so it was an easy walk. When we got there, there was already a line out the door with locals and cruisers alike.

After about a 20-minute wait, we were presented the impossible task of selecting a homemade donut to share. To ensure we could best represent the experience, Rocky and I decided to each get one. We also each decided to get a beverage. Goodness, the things we’ll do for content! 😉

The staff (we think owner?) was nice and kind in a no-nonsense kind of way. With a line out the door, chit-chat isn’t something you’ll get at this donut shop. Know what you want, order, and move on to the next person was the routine for the 20 minutes we waited.

To commemorate the donut-indulging experience, we decided to record an unscripted review of the donuts and drinks. Check it out and let us know your thoughts in the comments. And while you’re on our channel, please like and subscribe. We’re still pretty new to this, but we love sharing our experiences and thoughts to help fellow cruisers!

Depending on where your ship docks, it’s going to be at most a 5-10 minute walk. So, if you’re looking to satisfy a sweet tooth that your ship just can’t seem to quench, Jellyfish Donuts will gladly fill that void!

Have you visited Ketchikan on an Alaskan cruise? Jellyfish Donuts? We’d love to hear your thoughts.
