Wow. To say my mind is blown right now is quite an understatement. We just refreshed YouTube and saw fireworks show up as our subscriber count officially crossed over 10,000 subscribers!
We set this aspirational goal earlier this year… but weren’t sure we’d actually get here. We said that even if we got close to 10k, we’d be counting our blessings for all of the amazing support of our cruise community.
Then, tonight, December 28, 2024, BAM! The counter officially crossed the 10k subscriber mark. And it feels AMAZING!
A Shared Accomplishment
Truly, we accomplished this goal because of so many of our loyal YouTube followers and friends who made the final push on our behalf. Tweets, text messages, social media posts… This accomplishment belongs as much to this cruise community we’ve created as it belongs to Rocky and me. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for believing in us and supporting us along the way.
And thank you for pushing us when we needed it. We love This Cruise Life of ours, but I wouldn’t be totally honest if I didn’t admit that there are days we doubt ourselves. There are days we doubt the impact we make. But then we see a comment, or someone comes up to us on a cruise and says, “I booked this ship because of your video and I’m LOVING it!” and suddenly, all the hard work pays off. We started this work to spread the love of cruising to others, and that’s why we keep doing what we do.
How it all started
What started as me recording and uploading my first steps on Mardi Gras back in 2022 has turned into a community that we could never have imagined. We’ve made so many amazing memories – and friends! – along the way.
We closed out 2023 with 3,000 subscribers and we were ecstatic! In fact, we set our goal for 2024 at 5k subscribers. Then 6k subscribers. Then 7.5k subscribers. Finally, it was YOU that said to “aim high and set your sights on 10k.” Thank you for believing in us and all of your support along the way to get here.
