Carnival Celebration introduced several new firsts for Carnival Cruise Lines: A new pizza stand called Miami Slice with two new pizza varieties. Several new bars across the ship, including one that pays homage to 50 years of Carnival. And a brand new, exclusive-to-ship Playlist Productions show called Color My World.

On October 4, 2022, Carnival News announced the introduction of the new show calling it “Never-Before-Seen Live Entertainment” with a full description of the show (included at the end). One of the most interesting parts of the announcement? The fact that Playlist singers and dancers would be creating a live painting on stage during each and every performance “with music and choreography to match.”

We had the chance to catch this new show within the first few months of Carnival Celebration’s inaugural season and we fell in love. We captured footage from 4 different performances of the show from a variety of spots across the theater and have sliced/spliced them all together for you to enjoy.

Our Thoughts

Color My World has become an instant favorite of ours. We absolutely love the songs they’ve picked to be part of this show and the interaction between screens, projection, and even live painting on stage, is tremendously entertaining. We were spoiled seeing the inaugural Playlist Cast perform the show; truly some of the strongest singers we have seen across all of our cruises.

While video recordings won’t ever recreate the rush and the joy of a live show, we hope it conjures up fond memories for those who have already sailed and seen this newest Playlist Production show. And for those who haven’t yet had the chance to see it in person, we hope the foot-tapping, song-humming beats get you even more excited to book a sailing on Carnival Celebration to see Color My World!

Carnival Introduces Another Chance to See Color My World

Not planning to sail on Carnival Celebration any time soon? You’re in luck. On December 12, 2022, Carnival News announced that Carnival Venezia would be the first ship in the fleet after Carnival Celebration to feature Color My World! So if you’re sailing with us from Barcelona to New York this spring, or on one of the New York sailings this spring/summer, you’ll be able to catch Color My World on Carnival Venezia!

Color My World – An Indie Rock and Pop Love Story – romance will be in the air as a popular artist and his assistant go on a journey of love through art and color. The artistic love story will blend fun dance styles such as street jazz, hip-hop, musical theater and ballet with the best songs from indie rock and pop genres. Combining different mediums of art to create a visually captivating experience, this vibrant and colorful show will feature live painting on stage with music and choreography to match.
